You’ve Got To Put More In To Get More Out!
“Deliver more than you are getting paid to do. The victory of
success will be half won when you learn the secret of putting out
more than is expected in all that you do. Make yourself so
valuable in your work that eventually you will become
indispensable. Exercise your privilege to go the extra mile, and
enjoy all the rewards you receive.” – Og Mandino
Whatever we desire in life, we only ever get back what we’ve given out!
A young boy went with his lay preacher father to some country chapel. On arrival the preacher noticed the collection box was in the entrance and put some small change in it. On leaving the
church the steward emptied the box and gave the preacher the few
small coins it contained for his travelling expenses. The young lad said “Dad if you’d put more in you’d have got more out!”
It’s a cute little story, but how true to life! If we constantly give more than is expected of us, one thing is certain, we will get back more than we ever imagined. Life is an exchange of effort for reward. If we only do what we’re asked to do, how can we expect to get more than we were promised?
That’s why some people do so well and others not so well! It’s the givers not the graspers that have the most love, friends, possessions and status in the end. Maybe that’s why they say “You can’t keep a good man (or woman) down?”
