The Nature Of Being

A poem written by Andrew Paul Smith 160224

What was and is and yet might be
The future, present, past
Maybe you’d like to experience
A contentment that can last?

There is no “there” there’s only here
You are what you want to be
Treating what isn’t as if it were
Will make it reality

Your life is only being
You can’t be ever there
You are, and there’s no delineation
To lay the conundrum bare

Externally your life projects
Into the hologram of life
But the world of four dimensions
Most of us entice

And yet reality is only real
In the unchanging world within
It’s only when you realise this
Your being will be king

You can command reality
Your are the captain of your ship
And love is the only reason
That we all exist
