How Resolved Are You To Succeed?

“Always bear in mind that our own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing!” – Abraham Lincoln

Determination is the key! Dedication to the task; as the old song goes “If you want to be the best, if you want to beat the rest, dedication’s what you need!” If you want your life to change you have to take total responsibility for that change to take place. “If it’s going to be it’s up to me!”

Those who abdicate their personal power by blaming others for their mis-fortunes, who see the fault for things going wrong in their lives haven’t really understood what Abraham Lincoln is saying in the above quotation. Yes it’s true that we are not necessarily at fault when things go wrong in our lives, but …

Though we are not responsible for the misfortunes and problems that life throws at us, we are able to respond in any way we chose to these events with positivity or negativity, and depending on our response we will get different outcomes!

It is my belief that any desire that you have held in your heart and mind for a reasonable length of time is a likely outcome for you to reach in your life. The reason I say this is that: why would such an idea or goal be given to you if you are incapable of fulfilling it? That would be just plain cruel.

The only question to ask is how much resolve have you got to gain access to the goal you have in mind. You need a tenacious spirit to be like Jacob in the bible story where he was given the name Israel, where he wrestled with god and prevailed (Genesis 32) demanding “I will not let you go, unless you bless me!”
