Do You Put More In?

A SPECTATOR OR A PARTICIPATOR?

“You must do the very thing you think you cannot do.” – Eleanor
Roosevelt

Do you want to know the way to self-mastery? All you need to do is to act as if those things which seem impossible to you aren’t! The Bible teaches “Greater is he who rules his own spirit, than he who takes a city!” (Proverbs 16 verse 32)

If you decide that there is anything that you can’t do, this statement becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy! It is literally giving up before you’ve got started, throwing in the towel before your opponent has thrown a single punch! The game of life needs competitors not spectators; the greatest tragedy for you would be if you turned out to be nothing but a spectator to your own life!

If you want your life to go somewhere, you better set a direction for it, or you’ll end up going nowhere! Don’t ever allow your thoughts to defeat you! Negative thinking can hammer many nails in your coffin whilst you are still alive! Life is for living and it really is up to you what you get out of it.

A preacher once went to a village chapel, miles out in the middle of nowhere, he took his young son with him. As he went into the church he put a £10 note in the box as his son watched, at the end of the service the society steward emptied the box and gave the contents to him for his travelling costs. “What was the amount?” I hear you ask. It was £10, and the boy said “Dad, if you’d put more in, you’d have got more out!”

By doing the very thing that you think you cannot do, I promise, you will get so much more out of your life than you ever thought possible!
